American born, Amsterdam based soprano Laura Bohn is celebrated for her visceral interpretations of operatic heroines and internationally recognized as a creative force in innovative and interdisciplinary opera.

Recent highlights for the soprano include the title role of the Duchess in Adés’ Powder her Face with the Nederlandse Reisopera, her Amsterdam Royal Concertgebouw solo debut singing music of Weill and Bernstein and her Dutch National Opera Boekmannzaal debut performaing Lullaby; a one-woman opera written for her by renowned composer Kamala Sankaram. In ’25-’26 she will record arias of John Adams’ for Naxos Records with Ralph van Raat, perform Poulenc’s operatic tour-de-force La voix humaine with the Symphony of the Redwoods, the Seattle Chamber Orchestra and the Ferrero Foundation in Italy. She will present Lullaby at the Santiago a Mil Int’l Festival in Chile and appear as the Governess in Britten’s Turn of the Screw with West Edge Opera.
Laura has been featured in performances with the LA Philharmonic, The Industry (LA), The Mostly Mozart Orchestra (NY), Nederlandse Reisopera, Het Residentie Orkest (Netherlands), I Solisti del Vento (Belgium), Operadagen Rotterdam, Syracuse Opera (NY), West Edge Opera (CA), Festival Opera (CA), The Center for Contemporary Opera (NY), Dallas Opera, The Millennium Jazz Orchestra (NL), the Grand Harmonie Orchestra (MA) and Silbersee Opera (NL).
